These concertos are in 3 movement form: fast-slow-fast. The concertos allow the soloist to exhibit their skills and the capabilities of the instrument. Concerti in the Romantic period focused more on the virtuosic soloist. Technical brilliance became a more important part of the solo concerto. Composers of the concerto often wrote for particular musicians in mind
